As part of a major overhaul, SouthPark Mall operators announced Dick’s Sporting Goods will be their latest tenant.
Demolition began in May 2014 to remove more than 250,000 feet of space from the mall, including the food court and the former Sears store.
Part of the remodel will also add improvements inside and outside including new lighting, brighter colors and a new play area for children.
The newly-remodeled areas of SouthPark were scheduled to be unveiled November 13, 2014.
The new Dick’s Sporting Goods store was expected to open inJune 2015.
