Update 1:30pm Thursday September 2, 2021-
Village clerk Laura Green reports that the boil order has been lifted for the entire village. The water main break has been repaired and all water samples have been returned in the clear.
Update 5:00pm Tuesday August 31, 2021-
The Village reports that most water services have been restored. However, the northwest quadrant of the village, known as Shepherd's Addition, still has no water.
Crews continue to work to address the problem but the addition could be without water overnight. They advise to continue to boil water until further notice.

The entire Village of Sherrard has been placed under a boil order on Tuesday until further notice.
A Village employee says there has been a major water main break, but they are unable to pinpoint the exact location due to the water on the roads at the moment.
