Decorated mailbox in Moline will send your 'letters to Santa' to the North Pole

The mailbox will be set up outside the Moline Public Works building until Nov. 30.

MOLINE, Ill. — There's just under two months until kids across the Quad Cities will get to unwrap their Christmas presents, and that means there's plenty of time for them to tell jolly old St. Nick what they're hoping to find under the tree.

Santa's elves set up a decorated mailbox outside the Moline Public Works office on 3635 4th. Ave. Here, families can drop off their letters to Santa Claus to make sure they get to the North Pole with plenty of time to spare before the big day.

Letters do not need to be stamped but do need a return address. They can be dropped off through Nov. 30, and Santa's personalized responses will start being mailed out on Monday, Dec. 4.
