KEWANEE, Ill. — A semitruck crashed into a Kewanee home on Tuesday afternoon.
According to officials with the Kewanee Fire Department, the crash occurred near East Second Street and North East Street shortly after 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 3. Investigators believe the truck's driver suffered some sort of medical emergency during the crash, and he was hospitalized after the incident. The driver was the only person injured. Additionally, officials said no one was inside the home when the crash took place because nobody was currently living inside of it.
Officials told a News 8 photojournalist that they intend to tear the home down on Tuesday evening, citing public safety concerns.
