ROCK ISLAND, Ill. — A portion of eastbound traffic on Blackhawk Road was closed Friday morning as officials investigated an accident that critically injured a bicyclist on Wednesday.
According to police, eastbound traffic on Blackhawk Road between 11th and 12th streets was closed as authorities investigate the vehicle vs. bicyclist accident that critically injured a bicyclist, a 67-year-old man, around 4 p.m. Wednesday.
Chief of Police Timothy McCloud told New 8 that there has not been any change in the victim's health condition that would warrant a full incident reconstruction.
