A teenage driver was cited for disobeying a stop sign after she collided with a motorcyclist in a Whiteside County intersection.
The collision happened at the cross of Science Ridge Road and Illinois Route 40, according to the Whiteside County Sheriff's Office. The 16-year-old was driving eastbound on Science Ridge Road and drove into the path of a motorcycle heading northbound on IL. Rt. 40. It happened around 5:45 p.m. Thursday, June 2, 2016.
Police said the motorcyclist was taken to the hospital for injuries. The 16-year-old and her passenger were treated at the scene.
