DEWITT, Iowa — A longtime staple of the DeWitt community is changing hands.
Scott Drug pharmacy, which opened in 1962, will become owned by Genesis Medical Center, effective Dec. 15. According to a press release, the current co-owners Patti Trenkamp and Jennifer Walker will continue to provide patient services under the new ownership.
“The pharmacy has been a longstanding business in DeWitt, and we’re excited this 61-year tradition will stay in the community,” said Ted Rogalski, administrator of Genesis Medical Center in DeWitt. “Genesis is committed to rural health care and the DeWitt area, and we are aligned in providing the same dedication to quality, safety and service to the customers of Scott Drug.”
The pharmacy's hours of operation will remain the same under the new ownership, and patient records will be maintained through the transition. Any patients with questions can direct them to the pharmacy at 563-659-5042.
