DAVENPORT, Iowa — The 2023 Red Kettle Campaign just barely reached its goal in a final push, according to officials with the Salvation Army Quad Cities.
The campaign brought in a total of $750,064 through Jan. 31, just $64 above the overall goal of $750,000. That's an increase of more than $50,000 compared to 2022.
“The Salvation Army of the QCA made a call for help to make a difference, and our community answered generously at the red kettle,” Major Robert Doliber with the Salvation Army said.
According to Salvation Army officials, the donations will be used to support year-round programming, including providing shelter for families in need, responding to disasters and other emergency assistance.
