DES MOINES, Iowa — After years of playing professional basketball around the world, Chasson Randle is playing close to home this season with the Iowa Wolves of the NBA G League.
The Rock Island native is the oldest and most experienced player on the team. He says he's happy to share his knowledge with the young guys on the team.
"It's been pretty cool that I'm on that side now. I was in their shoes once before, where I was a guy who was asking a lot of questions, and now to be able to give some of that information back is definitely a blessing," Randle said. "To say I've been doing this for going into my 10th year, and to be able to share knowledge with a rookie or, you know, a second-year guy who's trying to find their way, you know, I'm grateful that one, they would ask me, and then two, that I have something to give."
After going undrafted out of Stanford in 2015, Randle has played for a handful of teams in the NBA, including the Philadelphia 76ers, New York Knicks, Washington Wizards, Golden State Wizards and most recently the Orlando Magic in 2021. In total, Randle has played in 119 NBA games over five seasons while averaging 5.7 points. Randle has also played in 60 G-League games throughout his career and has played overseas.
