ROCK ISLAND, Ill. — Two adults and three children are displaced after a house fire in Rock Island Thursday morning, authorities say.
Around 10:15 a.m. Feb. 22, firefighters with the Rock Island Fire Department responded to a structure fire at the 1500 block of 38th St. Officials with Rock Island Arsenal and Moline Fire also assisted. The fire was brought under control after about 15 minutes, according to a press release.
Officials say there were no injuries reported. 38th Street was closed while responders were on scene from 15th to 16th Avenue.
The cause and origin of the fire are still under investigation by the fire marshal.
