ROCK ISLAND, Ill. — Crews were on scene at 14th Street in Rock Island, near 15th Street and 5 1/2 Avenue, on Wednesday morning for a reported gas leak.
According to MidAmerican Energy officials, a contractor doing directional boring work in that area struck a residential underground gas distribution line.
MidAmerican was on the scene and had repairs wrapped up by 12:30 p.m.
The incident did not disrupt service to any customers.
