BETTENDORF, Iowa — A new admissions agreement guarantees that students in good standing at Rivermont Collegiate will be accepted into Augustana College. It takes effect immediately.
Augustana College and Rivermont Collegiate held a press conference Friday, finalizing the deal and putting pen to paper. Students must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA at Rivermont, meet standardized test requirements and complete the standard application form for the school in order to qualify. Admissions staff at Augustana College will review Rivermont students' transcripts in core subject areas like math, English and science.
"We're excited to pair with them, we know they have top-notch students," Augustana College President Andrea Talentino said. "We know that those students will really excel at Augustana so I think we're excited to sign the agreement and welcome the students here."
"We're all kind of like a Quad Cities family here between Rivermont Collegiate and Augustana," Rivermont Headmaster Max Roach said.
More information on the program is available by contacting either school. You can find Rivermont's contact information here and Augustana's here.
