River Action of the Quad Cities bringing back 5th annual environmental film series

All six films in the series will be shown at the Figge Art Museum. Individual and series tickets are available at the door.

DAVENPORT, Iowa — For the fifth year, River Action of the Quad Cities is bringing a lineup of environmental films to the community.

In a partnership with the Eagle View Group of the Sierra Club, Nahant Marsh Education Center, the Jewish Federation of the Quad Cities and the Trusth First Film Alliance, River Action is showing six movies throughout 2024 that center around the environment.

Among the six films in this year's lineup are documentaries about influential scientists like Anne Innis Dagg, who became the first person to study wild giraffe behavior, and Peter Wholleben, who works as a forester to study the biological processes of trees.

After each film, a guest speaker will be brought in for a public discussion on the movie.

Each show will be held on Sundays at 3 p.m. at the Figge Art Museum. Tickets are available on River Action's website, and can also be purchased at the door for $7, or for all six films it will cost $20.
