MOLINE, Ill. — The Quad Cities metro area has been designated one of the best places to live, according to U.S News & World Report.
The QC comes in at #53 on the media company's list of best places to live.
According to U.S News & World Report, the Quad Cities boasts, "downtowns clustered along the same riverfront and collaborations across business, service and the arts, the area offers many of the amenities you’d expect from one larger city."
Regional metropolitans also on the list of best places to live include Des Moines (#14), Madison (#17), Peoria (#53), St. Louis (#72), Chicago (#79) and Rockford (#127).
The QC is also listed as #87 in the best places to retire. While Madison (#54), Chicago (#56), Peoria (#79), Des Moines (#95), Rockford (#104) and St. Louis (#107) also earned a spot as a top destination for retirees.
The Quad Cities was additionally named one of the top spots for affordable living. The QC comes in at #4. Peoria (#9) and Des Moines (#12) also made the list of the 25 most affordable areas.
