DAVENPORT, Iowa — The Putnam Museum and Science Center is opening a new exhibit that railroad enthusiasts around the Quad Cities are sure to enjoy.

"All Aboard: Our Quad Cities Locomotive Legacy" opens to the public on Saturday, June 22 and will be available through Sunday Oct. 13. The exhibit will include Buddy L trains, items from the Rock Island Line, a depot set with historic rail attire and a model train display. There will also be stories collected from local rail workers.

“All Aboard brings forth our rich rail legacy while focusing on workers and looking to the future of trains. We are excited to see the railroad industry developments in our region as we celebrate its past," Vice President of Museum Experiences Kelly Lao said in a press release.

In addition to the exhibit itself, screenings of the documentary "Train Time" will be added to the Putnam's usual rotation of movies at the GIANT Screen Theatre. The film tells the story of a BNSF engine travelling across America, highlighting the many jobs available in the railroad industry.
