STOCKTON, Ill. — All students and staff aboard a school bus in Stockton, Illinois, were reported safe after a traffic accident Tuesday morning.
The crash happened at 11:15 a.m. near the intersection of Center Road and Illinois Route 78. Parents and guardians were notified as soon as each passenger was safely accounted for. Officials said no serious injuries were sustained.
"We are grateful that no one was seriously injured, and our top priority is the safety and well-being of our students and staff," said James Bunting, Superintendent of Stockton Schools. "We are thankful for the quick response of emergency personnel and our school staff who ensured that everyone was cared for immediately following the accident."
