ROCK FALLS, Ill. — A man was shot and wounded early Monday morning in Rock Falls, police said.
It happened around 2:15 a.m. in the 900 block of West 5th Street on Oct. 28. According to a press release, responding officers found a man with a gunshot wound inside a residence. A preliminary investigation determined he was shot outside and that the shooter fled on foot.
Police said the victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening injury. Rock Falls police added that they believe the incident was isolated and there is no threat to the public.
