ROCK ISLAND, Ill. — There was a large police presence at Rock Island High Wednesday morning as police investigated social media posts targeting the high school.
A Rock Island-Milan School District spokesperson told News 8 that the school district was made aware of a photo circulating on social media. They said the school did not go on lockdown, but that police were investigating the situation.
This comes just a day after a Rock Island elementary school was placed on lockdown following a threat to the school. That incident is still under investigation.
