DAVENPORT, Iowa — A large fire erupted at Midwest Recyclers on the west side of Davenport Wednesday, with smoke visible as far away as Geneseo.
A News 8 camera atop the Kahl Building in Davenport captured firefighters working to extinguish the fire. The fire was visible for miles, with News 8's Bridgepointe camera in downtown Moline also capturing the blaze. Storm Track 8 Meteorologist Andrew Stutzke captured the plume of smoke all the way from Geneseo.
Midwest Recyclers is located at 530 S. Howell St., near Nestle Purina in Davenport. News 8 has a journalist at the scene working to learn more information.
