FULTON, Ill. — Fulton police are asking for help locating a fugitive who allegedly fled from officers across the Mississippi River in Clinton.
According to the Fulton Police Department, 32-year-old Robert J. White of Clinton is wanted on multiple warrants, including one related to a theft from a Home Depot on Thursday, Oct. 17.
A news release states that Clinton police attempted to initiate a traffic stop on Highway 136 bridge into Fulton shortly before 3 p.m. but White refused to stop. Officers pursued but said they broke off the chase due to traffic in the downtown area. White's vehicle was later found abandoned near the intersection of Sixth Street and 12th Avenue in Fulton.
