Vacant home catches fire in Moline Sunday night

No injuries were reported.

MOLINE, Ill. — Moline officials are investigating a fire that took place late Sunday night at a vacant home, according to a press release. 

Crews responded to the home in the 1200 block of 11th Ave. around 9:45 p.m. on Sept. 29 and found the back of a small two-and-a-half-story home fully engulfed in flames. The Moline Fire Department said it was able to bring the fire under control in less than an hour. 

The home, located across the street from the John Deere House, is believed to be vacant and no injuries were reported, per the release. The cause of the fire was not disclosed and the incident remains under investigation by MFD.
