Downtown Burlington building catches fire Sunday night

No injuries were reported, according to officials.

BURLINGTON, Iowa — No injuries were reported after crews responded to a large fire in downtown Burlington on Sunday night. 

Just before 8 p.m., officials were dispatched to 115 N. 4th St. downtown after receiving reports of smoke coming from the building. According to the Burlington Fire Department, fire and smoke could be seen coming from the third floor of the building. 

Crews remained at the scene until 10:40 p.m. BFD said the fire was contained to the third floor, which had major smoke and heat damage. 

No injuries were reported. BBS Investors LLC owns the building, which is a three-story commercial building. 

The cause of the fire has been ruled undetermined. No other information has been made available. Any additional information will be released by the fire marshal.
