FEMA opening Disaster Recovery Center in Scott County for residents impacted by severe weather

FEMA recovery specialists and the U.S. Small Business Administration will provide information for residents impacted by severe weather this spring.

SCOTT COUNTY, Iowa — The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is opening a Disaster Recovery Center in Davenport to give one-on-one help to residents impacted by severe weather this spring.

The center will open at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 5 at 3506 N. Harrison St., the former Davenport Fire Station. It will be open Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and will be closed Sundays.

FEMA recovery specialists and the U.S. Small Business Administration will provide information on available services, explain assistance programs and help survivors complete or check the status of their applications.

To save time at the center, officials recommend applying for disaster assistance online or by calling FEMA directly at 800-621-FEMA (3362). Residents can also apply through the FEMA app. More info on that can be found here

All Disaster Recovery Centers are subject to temporary closures without notice due to the weather. All centers are accessible to people with disabilities or with access and functional needs.
