DAVENPORT, Iowa — Two Genesis hospitals were placed on lockdown Thursday morning after a report of a potential bomb threat. Police say there is no immediate danger to the public.
The report came into the Scott Emergency Communications Center around 6:41 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 25. According to a press release from the Davenport Police Department, the threat was made to an unspecified hospital. While police investigated the threats Genesis East and Genesis West were both placed on lockdown.
Police determined there was no immediate danger to the community's healthcare institutions. The incident remains under investigation and no other information has been made available.
