DAVENPORT, Iowa — A Davenport man was arrested following an alleged assault on Monday morning. It comes after numerous reports of a police presence in the area.
According to an arrest report from Davenport Police, officers responded to a disturbance on the 1800 block of Tremont Avenue shortly before 5 a.m. on Monday, June 3. Officers claim that 39-year-old Shaun David Jackson threatened to "chop up the victim into pieces using a metal sword-like object" and also allegedly forced the object through a door in an attempt to hurt the victim. Jackson also allegedly threw a glass bowl at the victim.
Jackson is charged with two counts of assault while displaying a weapon and one count of interference with official acts. He is being held on a $4,300 bond at the Scott County Jail.
