ROCK ISLAND, Ill — Rock Island is under a burn ban until further notice.
Fire Chief Bob Graff declared the ban on Wednesday, Oct. 23. The ban prohibits any open burning, including landscape waste, agricultural waste, household trash, campfires and consumer fireworks.
Anyone found to have violated the ban could be fined by the Rock Island Fire Department.
