JACKSON COUNTY, Iowa — Two people were hurt after a crash in rural Jackson County.
According to an Iowa State Patrol crash report, shortly after 1 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 29, a 2016 Ford F-150 was travelling southbound on Leisure Lake Road. Meanwhile, a person riding an electric wheelchair was heading north on the same road. Investigators believe that when the driver of the truck attempted a right hand turn, they lost control of the vehicle and struck the pedestrian. Two people were injured and hospitalized in the aftermath.
The names of the victims haven't been released, and their condition is unknown as of 10 p.m. on Thursday night.
