1 injured in Johnson County crash following chase

According to Iowa State Patrol, Tessa Mae Galloway lost control of her motorcycle after fleeing a traffic stop.

IOWA CITY, Iowa — A motorcyclist was injured in a crash in Iowa City following a police chase, according to a crash report from Iowa State Patrol.

According to the report, 20-year-old Tessa Mae Galloway was travelling southbound on Interstate 380 at high speed around 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 17. Around the two-mile marker, a police officer attempted a traffic stop on her. Officers allege Galloway fled from the stop and pursued her. During the chase, Galloway allegedly lost control while trying to navigate a curve around the I-80 eastbound flyover and crashed.

Galloway was injured in the crash and was transported to the hospital by ambulance.
