Princeton DMV converted to 'one-stop-shop'

The updated facility combines vehicle and driver services at the same counter.

PRINCETON, Ill. — After a temporary closure, the Princeton DMV reopened on Wednesday, July 31 as a "one-stop-shop."

The updated facility combines vehicle and driver services at the same counter. Visitors will be able to receive the following services:

  • Apply for a REAL ID or a new driver’s license or state ID card
  • Renew a driver’s license, state ID or Temporary Visitor Driver’s License (TVDL)
  • Register or renew their vehicle registration and obtain vehicle stickers
  • Order a new license plate
  • Join the Illinois Organ and Tissue Donor Registry

According to the Illinois Secretary of State's Office, the Princeton facility is one of the first in the state to undergo this type of renovation.
