The Mississippi Valley Fair is back for its 95th year.
The fair kicked off Tuesday, July 29 and the general manager, Bob Fox, said there would be many new attractions to expect.
“New alligator show, we’ve got a new dog show, we’ve got a really cool act called Banana Derby; It’s monkeys riding, racing on the backs of dogs,” Fox explained. “So I mean, my job is strange anyway, so you have to understand, I have to look for strange things.”
The Eli Young Band hits the grand stand at 8 p.m. Tuesday. The fair runs through Sunday, August 3.
