DAVENPORT, Iowa — A 53-year-old man is seriously injured after being hit by a vehicle in Davenport Sunday night, police said.
Davenport first responders got to the scene just before 7:15 p.m. at the intersection of West 2nd and Myrtle Streets downtown. Police, fire and Medic EMS responded.
According to the Davenport Police Department, a preliminary investigation found a vehicle was heading west on 2nd Street when it hit the male pedestrian, who was attempting to cross 2nd Street.
Medic EMS transported the man to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries. DPD said its Traffic Safety Unit continues to investigate the incident and no further information has been made available.
