DAVENPORT, Iowa — A woman is seriously injured after being hit by a car Wednesday morning in Davenport, police say.

Around 7:30 a.m., Davenport Police were dispatched to the intersection of Rockingham Road and South Concord Street for an accident involving a pedestrian. According to police, a driver was turning off Concord onto Rockingham when they struck a person in the crosswalk.

The pedestrian was identified as a 43-year-old female but no other information was provided. She was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.
