DIXON, Ill. — OSF Healthcare plans to merge with a rural Illinois hospital.
Under a plan announced on Friday, May 10, OSF will merge with Katherine Shaw Bethea Hospital in Dixon. The two organizations have already signed a term sheet, and the agreement would see OSF invest $40 million into renovating KSB.
“Both KSB and OSF have long histories of serving the health and wellness needs of their communities,” OSF CEO Robert Sehring said in a press release. “Together, we will ensure continued quality and compassionate health care for the Dixon community and greater Sauk Valley region."
The two healthcare organizations said they'll spend the next several months finalizing their agreement and getting regulatory approval for the merge.
