A motorcyclist was was airlifted to the hospital after a motorcycle and SUV accident on Route 92 near Joslin, Illinois.
Police said a westbound Kia Sportage and an eastbound Harley Davidson motorcycle collided when the Sportage driver tried to turn left to access westbound I-88 at about 1:45 a.m. Tuesday, July 22, 2015. The Sportage turned into the path of the motorcycle and the two vehicles collided head-on.
The motorcyclist, identified as 43-year-old John Carlile of Hillsdale, was taken by air ambulance to a hospital in Peoria, where he was last listed in stable condition.
The Sportage driver, 21-year-old Mang Tum of Rock Island, was cited for failure to yield according to a statement from Illinois State Police.
