ROCK FALLS, Ill. — Bargain hunters will have some new aisles to explore in the near future, as discount retail chain Ollie's prepares to open another new store in Illinois.
The store, located at 1002 1st Ave. in Rock Falls, will host its grand opening at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 18. According to company officials, the new store will be the chain's 10th location in Illinois.
“With so many great deals, we’re thrilled to provide shoppers in Rock Falls and its surrounding areas with a treasure hunt experience where they can find a huge selection of brand name merchandise at up to 70% off the fancy stores’ prices every day," John Swygert, President and CEO of Ollie’s Bargain Outlet, said.
According to company officials, each new location also brings between 50 and 60 jobs to the local community.
An Ollie's store opened in Moline on Sept. 6. The company is also currently constructing a distribution center in Princeton, Illinois. The new facility will create more than 200 new full-time jobs, with plans to open in 2024.
