National pickleball tournament coming to the Quad Cities

Visit Quad Cities expects the event will generate about $1.2 million in revenue for the Quad Cities.

MOLINE, Ill. — Get your paddles ready! The sport that has captivated people of all ages — pickleball — will have a national tournament right here in the Quad Cities. 

The Professional Pickleball Association's inaugural PPA Tour Challenger Series Powered by JOOLA will have a stop in Moline at the Quad City Tennis Club. It'll take place Aug. 8 to Aug. 10, 2025. 

The event is one of more than a dozen stops on the tour, with many of those tournaments being held in the Midwest. Amateur and pro-level players are welcome.

Visit Quad Cities expects the event will generate about $1.2 million in revenue for the Quad Cities. The tourism organization added that PPA plans to make this an annual event for the region.

In addition to the fun, the event will have a $10,000 prize pool for professionals. Tickets can be found here
