MUSCATINE, Iowa — Muscatine police got some help from a local business rescuing a furry friend from a sticky situation.
According to a Facebook post from the Muscatine Police Department, officers received a call around 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 12 reporting a cat stuck in a tree at a home in town. Animal Control and the homeowner had been unsuccessful in getting the cat to come down, according to the post.
On Wednesday morning, officers were able to get some help from A Notch Above Tree Service. Owner Randy Hake sent a crew with a bucket truck to the home, and police said once they arrived it took less than a half-hour to rescue the cat.
In their post, Muscatine police thanked Hake, who is allergic to cats, and his employee Hayden Calvelage for their help in the situation.
