Muscatine company bringing donations to Iowa flood victims

TanTara Transportation Corp. says they plan to fill a semi trailer with donated supplies which will be delivered to the area.

MUSCATINE, Iowa — A Muscatine company is stepping up to help victims of flooding in northwest Iowa.

In a Facebook post, TanTara Transportation Corp. shared their plan to fill a semi-trailer with donated supplies from the community, which will then be delivered to those impacted by the flood. The company said it's in contact with the city council and chamber of commerce in Spencer, one of the communities hit hardest, and is working to provide them with supplies.

Needed supplies include bleach, sanitizer, empty coolers, sunscreen, storage bags, pet supplies, industrial fans, disinfectant, storage containers, toiletries, simply soother, laundry baskets, tools, rubber gloves, towels, paper towels, utility knives, bug spray, large garbage bags, household tool kits and rubber boots.

Donations can be brought to TanTara or Ed Morse Chevrolet GMC in Muscatine. If you aren't able to drop anything off yourself, financial donations can be made here and will go towards purchasing additional supplies.
