MOLINE, Ill. — The Moline Regional Community Foundation announced the winners of its fall grants, totaling nearly $200,000, which will go to 36 local nonprofit organizations.
The winners were celebrated at an awards ceremony Wednesday morning in the Butterworth Center.
Grant recipients include;
- Alternatives for Older Adults: $7,500 for their Money Management Program
- Bethany for Children and Families: $6,000 for Rock Island County Teen Pregnancy Prevention Programs
- Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Mississippi Valley: $2,500 for New Match Welcome Kits
- Center for Belgian Culture of Western Illinois, Inc.: $2,000 for an Informational Kiosk
- Center for Youth and Family Solutions: $7,500 for a Partnership with Moline Police Department
- Christian Care: $3,500 for Street Outreach Services
- Common Chord: $4,000 for their InTune Music Mentorship Program
- Family Outreach Community Center: $7,500 for Operation Backpack in Henderson County
- Fresh Films: $3,500 for their Career Development Program for Underserved Youth
- Friends of Moline Parks and Recreation: $2,500 for Little League Capital Improvements
- Friendship Manor: $25,000 for Re-Establishing Friendship 2024 Capital Campaign
- German American Heritage Center and Museum: $3,500 for Immigration Then and Now partnership with World Relief
- Girl Scouts of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois: $7,500 for a Leadership Program
- Hand in Hand: $2,000 for their Sensory Walk Program
- Heart of Hope Ministries: $2,500 for New Opportunities for Youth and Young Adults
- Humility Homes and Services, Inc.: $5,000 for Rock Island County Housing Support
- Iowa Jobs for America's Graduates (JAG): $10,000 for Career Pathways for Underserved Youth
- Legacy Education and Sports for a Better Future, Inc.: $2,500 for Program Support
- Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center: $5,000 for a Thanksgiving Meal and Holiday Gifts
- Mercer County Historical Society: $1,500 for Collection Digitization
- Nahant Marsh Education Center: $7,500 for Bridging the Nature Gap for Area Students
- NEST Café: $7,500 for Safely and Knowledgeably Nourishing Neighbors
- New Kingdom Trailriders: $3,500 for Arena Capital Improvements
- Playcrafters Barn Theater: $2,500 for Set Construction for the 95th Season
- Project Now: $5,000 for their Match for Meals Program
- Putnam Museum and Science Center: $3,500 for their Youth Education Community Access Fund
- Quad City Botanical Center: $5,000 for their Plant Recovery Bus
- Rebuilding Together Henry County: $5,000 for their Wheelchair Ramp Program
- River Bend Food Bank: $15,000 for Challenge Match Support
- Rock Island County Historical Society: $5,000 for Digitization of Weekly Newspapers
- Safer Foundation: $500 for Employment Services Program Support
- Spring Forward: $6,500 for Programs for Low-Performing Students
- Tapestry Farms: $5,000 for Investing in Quad Cities Refugee Support
- The Black Box Theater: $2,000 for Program Support and Jane Eyre
- WQPT-PBS: $5,000 for Education and Outreach Services
