MOLINE, Ill. — Moline police are investigating a burglary of a rifle from a Rock Island County Sheriff's Office patrol vehicle.
Police say they responded to a burglary complaint on Saturday, Feb. 17 around 7 a.m. and discovered an off-duty deputy's marked patrol vehicle had been broken into. The vehicle was in the deputy's driveway when somebody smashed the rear cargo hatch and stole a rifle case containing a Rock River Arms LAR-15 rifle and a loaded magazine.
Moline police investigating the incident with the support of sheriff’s office investigators.
