Moline Mayor Sangeetha Rayapati has recommended Daniel McNeil to fill the 6th Ward seat on the Moline City Council after the passing of former alderman Pat O'Brien.

McNeil currently serves as the executive director of Spring Forward, a nonprofit based out of Rock Island that provides after-school programs for kids in the Quad Cities.
