MOLINE, Ill. — The Moline-Coal Valley School District's Administrative Support Center has a new home.
According to district officials, the district's school board voted to purchase the former Vibrant Credit Union Corporate Office, located at 1900 52nd Ave., at their meeting on April 8. The acquisition cost approximately $1.8 million.
Officials said the current support center inside the Allendale building had been slated to be discontinued dating all the way back to 2010, when the district first made plans to vacate and sell off the property. The building was built in 1906 and has served the district for nearly 100 years, but officials said they needed a new home due to the fact that the building doesn't meet ADA compliance standards.
The move to the new support center will begin on Friday, Aug. 2. All existing phone numbers of staff members will remain the same.
