MOLINE, Ill. — The City of Moline is moving forward with another affordable housing project.
At their meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 8, the Moline City Council approved the use of a lot along 14th and 13th Avenues for the project. When construction is completed, it will eventually hold 20 units of housing spread across five buildings. The units will have a mix of two-bedroom and three-bedroom units, and there will also be a community office building, a shared outdoor space and designated parking spots for each unit.
The new development is estimated to cost $10 million, with funding coming from a grant given by the Illinois Housing Development Authority. The project is a partnership between the city and the Moline Housing Authority.
