City of Moline wants your help planting 100 trees

The City will plant the trees at parks and green spaces around town.

MOLINE, Ill. — The Moline Parks and Recreation Department is looking to plant 100 trees across town.

The City is inviting the community to help on May 16 at different locations and times:

8 a.m. — Velie Park: Meet at the entrance sign by 11th Ave and 11th St — look for Jean Edmunds
11 a.m. — Meet on the corner of 11th Ave and 3rd St A — look for Ro Carlin-Krueger
1 p.m. — Meet at the triangle green space by 7th St. and 5th Ave. Pl. — look for Sarah Mason
3 p.m. — Meet at the parking lot by the sand volleyball courts 15th Ave. and 5th St. — look for Bill Able

The city's event post on Facebook says seasoned gardeners and anyone eager to help is welcome.
