DAVENPORT, Iowa — One person is dead following a mobile home fire in Davenport on Tuesday afternoon.
Davenport firefighters responded to a fire at Ted's Mobile Home and RV Park, located at the 3700 block of West Locust Street, shortly before 2:20 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 30. Upon arrival, crews found a mobile home with heavy smoke and fire rising from it, but they were able to extinguish the fire within 10 minutes.
While searching the mobile home after the fire was out, Davenport fire officials said they found a deceased individual inside. That person's name is not being released while family members are notified.
The investigation into what caused the fire is still ongoing.
