Missing Jo Daviess teenager traveling with father, police still concerned over her welfare

While Tamula Ware, 14, is no longer considered missing, police in Jo Daviess County are still concerned with her welfare and would like the public's help.

HANOVER, Illinois — Update Tuesday, Oct. 17 at 4 p.m.: Police in Hanover have confirmed that Tamula Ware, 14, who is missing out of Jo Daviess County, is traveling with her father, Michael Ware, 34, and possibly Timothy Brandenburg, 45. 

According to the Jo Daviess Sheriff's Office, where they are traveling is unknown. Michael has shared custody of Tamula with her mother. Both he and Brandenburg have outstanding arrest warrants for incidents unrelated to Tamula's disappearance. 

Police believe they are traveling in the same car Tamula was last seen getting into and are potentially heading southwest to Texas, according to the new press release. 

While Tamula is no longer classified as missing, police said they are still concerned about her well-being and are asking for the public to help locate her. 

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Tamula, Michael or Timothy is asked to to call the Hanover Police Department at (815) 591-2100, the Jo Daviess County Sheriff's Office at (815) 777-2141

A teenager has been missing out of Jo Daviess County since the early morning hours of Sunday, Oct. 8, according to officials. 

According to the Jo Daviess County Sheriff's office, Tamula Ware, 14, was last seen Sunday getting into a gold or tan 2000-2005 Chevy Impala around 4 a.m. in the village of Hanover. Ware is 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighs around 120 pounds. She has blue hair and was last seen wearing a white tank top, pink shorts and pink Nike sneakers. 

The car she was last seen getting into (pictured below) is missing both rear hub caps and has a spoiler on the trunk lid. According to officials, a partial Iowa handicap registration similar to L051 was also noticed on surveillance cameras. The Impala was last seen on the north side of Dubuque, Iowa on Sunday morning, Oct. 8. 

According to the sheriff's office, Ware is believed to be with the two people pictured below, who are still unidentified. 

Anyone with information on Ware's location or the unidentified male and female she's believed to be with is asked to call the Hanover Police Department at (815) 591-2100, the Jo Daviess County Sheriff's Office at (815) 777-2141 or the Dubuque/Jo Daviess County Crime Stoppers at (800) 747-0117.
