DAVENPORT, Iowa — Excitement is building at the Davenport Municipal Airport ahead of this weekend's air show!

According to air show officials, the 33rd annual Quad City Air Show will happen this weekend with the gates opening both days at 9:30 a.m. and the main air show taking to the skies around 1 p.m.

Performances from the Air Force's F22 Raptor Team and the KC Flyers Formation Team will light up the sky.

On the ground, attendees can catch live music all day Saturday with performances by Hap Hazard, Electric Shock, and Aaron Tippin'. Families will also have a chance to see historic aircraft dating back to World War II.

Officials add there will be bouncy houses, face painting, and other activities for young kids to enjoy.

Attendees can bring water and umbrellas to fight the heat wave, however, no coolers are allowed on the premises.

One-day tickets for Saturday's show are on sale for $50, while tickets for Sunday cost $30, and you can buy them online or in person at the airport. Parking at the airport is also available for $10.

Air show personnel encourage people who enjoy the air show to register as a volunteer during this weekend's festivities. A link to sign up can be found on the Quad City Air Show website.
