Police make arrest in connection to May armed robbery at Milan Walgreens

Police did not specify whether one of the two suspects captured by surveillance video was arrested, or if it was a separate individual arrested in connection.

MILAN, Ill. — Police said they have made an arrest in connection to an armed robbery at a Milan Walgreens in May. 

In a Monday news release, Milan Police Chief Christopher Johnson said: "An arrest has been made in connection with this robbery. The investigation is still ongoing and names will not be released at this time."

Police did not specify whether one of the two suspects captured by surveillance video was arrested, or if it was a separate individual arrested in connection. News 8 has reached out for clarity on who was arrested and is waiting to hear back. 

The armed robbery took place on Sunday, May 12 around 10 p.m. Police initially released information that two men wearing black facemasks entered the store and demanded money while displaying a firearm. The suspects left with an undisclosed amount of cash and drove off in a stolen car.
