GALESBURG, Ill. — Mike Doi is out as Director of Galesburg Public Works.
In emailed statement to News 8 on Monday, Oct. 21, Galesburg city officials confirmed that Doi had left the role. The statement didn't specify what led to his departure. City Engineer Aaron Gavin will serve as interim director of public works while the city works to find Doi's replacement.
Doi first assumed the position in Galesburg in September 2023.
