Men accused of Davenport 17-year-old's murder extradited to RICO, one given additional charges

The men were arrested in Oklahoma City in late November after the shooting death of 17-year-old Angel Lopez Jr. on Sept. 18.

A pair of suspects are back in the Quad Cities, and one faces additional charges after they were arrested and extradited following the Sept. 18 homicide of a Davenport teenager.

17-year-old Corion Thomas of East Moline and 22-year-old Davyon J. Q. Woods-Jackson of Rock Island were extradited back to the Quad Cities on Dec. 6, two weeks after they were arrested in Oklahoma City for the death of 17-year-old Angel Lopez Jr.

Lopez was killed on Sept. 18 by a gunshot wound to the chest allegedly inflicted by Thomas. He and Woods-Jackson then made their way to Oklahoma City, where they were taken into custody on outstanding warrants on Nov. 22.

Thomas was charged with first-degree murder, and Woods-Jackson was charged with two counts of obstruction of justice.

On Dec. 7, Rock Island Police Department Criminal Investigations Division detectives filed additional charges against the Woods-Jackson, including two counts of first-degree murder, two counts of aggravated battery with a firearm, two counts of armed robbery and a count of aggravated discharge of a firearm. 

He remains in the Rock Island County Jail on an increased bond of $500,000. Thomas remains in the custody of the Mary Davis Juvenile Detention Facility.
